Money for Nothing

A new Melbourne pop-up shop called “Dupe” is selling bottles of all-natural February moonlight, jars of pure organic fresh air and boxes of eco-friendly rays of sunshine.

Dupe is a fake shop run by Yarra Valley Water as they are on a campaign against bottled water, encouraging consumers to fill up reusable bottles with tap water instead. The reason for their campaign? They claim that Australians recycle less than 50 percent of their plastic bottles and buying a plastic bottle of water is 1,400 times more expensive than tap water!

Perhaps they have a point! It also makes you wonder what other products we may pay ridiculously high prices for simply because they’re conveniently bottled or packaged.
