The financial implications of Alzheimer’s can be significant for family and loved ones.

Whilst, it’s not pleasant to think about, there are some important protective measures that can be put in place to assist and protect you or a loved one in the event of diagnosis with this disease.

Trauma cover is a personal insurance cover that pays out a lump sum on diagnosis of a specified critical illness and in some cases Alzheimer’s disease will be covered under such a policy. Other affairs that should be addressed include documenting an Enduring Power of Attorney and Guardianship provisions and reviewing other Estate Planning arrangements.
