Lender / Financier
A lender or financier is the person or organisation who lends money to you.
The actual loan may be as a mortgage so you can buy your first home, an investment loan to buy an investment property, or build a share portfolio, a personal loan to go on a holiday, or financing to purchase a car.
Traditionally, lending has been the role of large banking and building societies, however, there are now many non-bank lenders providing lending services.
When you borrow money, it is important to be aware of both the interest rates and fees to gain an appreciation of the cost of borrowing to you.
