Your Beliefs on Money

Exploring common money beliefs

Money belief 3

If I work hard, I deserve to do well financially

What does the word deserve mean?

If you think it means something you are owed, then working hard to be owed financial success is a dangerous way to think – by waiting for what you deserve, you give up your power, and enter a state of financial insecurity.

Financial rewards come to those who not only know how to provide quality goods and services to other people, but also know how to look after the money that comes into their life.

In this sense, you can work as hard as you like; however, until you look after what you earn and feel worthy of being wealthy, you’ll never create the financial wealth you could otherwise attain.
