Carer Allowance
Rate
The payment rate for the Carer Allowance when providing care to someone aged 16 and over is $153.50 per fortnight. Carer Allowance rates change on 1 January each year.
Furthermore, the carer may be able to receive the Carer Allowance for more than one person they provide care for.
The Carer Allowance is not classed as taxable income.
